Parental Involvement

The Alberta Education Survey result of 88.4% for parent involvement, although a decrease from 93.6%, is still very encouraging. During the previous year, COVID restrictions and access to school facilities had a negative impact. With the transformation of the usage and mastery of virtual platforms, as well as relaxed COVID restrictions, Home and School Associations/PAC formations and school board accessibility, are on the rise.

Strength

On average our district has strong parental involvement which will continue with strenghthening the Home and School Association (PAC). COVID has had an impact, but parental involvement is on the rise.

Growth Points

While several parental committies are meeting with the use of online platforms, additional virtual training is needed for further parential accessibility.
