Also, in the local survey, 81% of students responded that for Core Competencies of Learning, specifically, they are taught that as a Christian, their response whatever the situation, they should always be loving and respectful.
Positive faith development and a strong spiritual relationship with God are intentional components that are taught to students which guides them to be loving and respectful Christians in society.
Integration of Faith and Learning must have intentionality at the planning stage.
Spiritual Leadership opportunities
In our local survey, the first response we received for leadership opportunities to participate and lead in chapel or classroom worships, including topics and engagement, revealed 71% for leadership and topic development opportunities in chapel and 79% for classroom worship.
Our district continues to provide many leadership opportunities for students. This is recognized in chapel and classroom worships where students are free to select topics of discussion and lead out in engagement.
Leadership activities and opportunities need to be identified as such with an emphasis on inclusiveness for all by recognizing foundational leadership or leadership that is essential in the background.
Enhance Spiritual Growth and Development Plan
88% of student respondents indicate they feel they are surrounded by Christian teachers, who behave in a caring and professional manner, who help them understand the Bible at a deeper level and that God loves them.
Teachers in our district continue to model what it means to be a Christian. Their characters reflect positive behaviour and a caring attitude in a professional manner. Students have recognized this Christian authenticity.
